Job Description
Benco Dental, the largest privately owned, full-service dental distributor in the United States, is seeking a Marketing Product Manager to join it's growing Merchandise Marketing team! The Marketing Product Manager is responsible for increasing market share by effectively managing product portfolio, publications and promotions. This position must possess and develop the knowledge about assigned product lines to be a resource for customers, sales and the company in order to see trends and drive opportunities.Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively examine assigned product line portfolio to determine which products are needed to increase market share.
Perform a quarterly situation analysis of assigned product line, to determine changes and trends by compiling information from strategic data management, competitors’ catalogs, monthly journals, surveys of Benco's sales force and customers, and surveys of key manufacturers marketing and product managers.
Effectively increase sales of Benco focused products through quarterly promotions. Work with vendor partners to secure special end-user pricing and financing to benefit the company.
Oversee the planning, creation, implementation and tracking of all marketing programs and advertising promotions in coordination with the marketing plan: including but not limited to target mailings, specialty flyers, sampling promotions, statement inserts, up-sell promotions, internal publications, web based advertising and external publications.
Responsible for managing spiff payouts for the sales team.
Review the annual Dental Desk Reference guide for product selection and placement.
Maintain vendor relations.
Coordinate educational training sessions, provide literature, sales tools and samples to the sales force and customer service team. Responsible for communication to the sales force via company intranet (SharePoint) and other mediums.
Work with new and existing vendor partners to navigate through the end-to-end launch process, secure all necessary paperwork/tools/collateral to ensure an effective launch.
Attend regional meetings in the field, co-travel with territory reps/equipment specialists/field technicians/vendor reps and participate in vendor site visits.
Preform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and company.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field or equivalent education/experience.
Skills needed: Ability to work with vendor partners to identify new sales opportunities. Prior experience developing promotion programs and creating monthly/quarterly/annual advertising campaigns. Ability to gather both internal and external data to gain insights for opportunities to grow market share to improve value to dentist and vendors. Ability to communicate effectively with highly effective presentation skills.
