Engineering Software Development Team is looking for a software engineer that has the ability to apply the appropriate technology to solve complex software problems. A successful candidate can demonstrate the use of multiple languages, frameworks and disciplines. You will be encouraged to experiment with new technologies and must focus on continual learning of the ongoing evolution of software engineering. . You will join a strong team doing great work in a positive and Agile/Scrum atmosphere.
The customers for Technology Developments solutions cross the entire breadth of Micron’s engineering disciplines focused on the research and development of memory products. Technology Development software engineers are encouraged to work directly with fab and designs engineers focused on the Technology Development organization in the creation, testing and support of solutions that improve efficiency as well to innovate by utilizing the newest technologies.
Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
These include, but are not limited to, the following:
Planning, development, testing, and implementation of software.
Gather requirements from analysts and SMEs, design and document technical solutions
Troubleshooting / resolving issues collaboratively and assist team in finding solutions
Support existing applications and be able to analyze, identify and resolve application and database defects
Contribute to testing, risk analysis, group presentations, status reporting, and more
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have solid communication, leadership, problem solving skills and experience in working in a global team environment.
Candidates should have strong organizational and time management skills, technical direction and vision.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
Strong customer focus and relationship building skills
Experience or familiarity with project management tools and concepts
Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
Strong problem solving skills in identifying issues and providing recommendations and solutions
A proven ability to drive for results and continuous improvement
High level Windows experience; Linux experience is a plus
Understand client/server, web, and mobile development methodologies
Experience with at least one of the following: C#, C, C++, Perl, Python, LAMP Technology Stack, AngularJS, BootStrap, MEAN Stack, Microsoft .NET Framework and MVC architecture
Familiarity with PHP, ASP.NET (HTML, JavaScript & CSS), Web API
Familiarity with Relationship database systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
Understand NoSQL databases vs. RDMS (MySQL, SQL Server, & Oracle flavors)
Education:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program working to obtain a degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
