Description
Assists employees, managers and HR Business Partners (HRBP) with inquiries/requests of limited complexity, as they pertain to HR policies/procedures, pay, HR Systems, etc. Triages questions/issues of a more complex nature-including HR case management work-to HR Support Center (HRSC) and functional HR subject matter experts. Utilizes HRSC resources/tools such as the internal Reference Guide, Employee Handbook, Manager Center and policy manuals, to answer questions and resolve issues. Inquiries are received by both phone and an email/ticketing system.

Responsibilities:
Researches and resolves basic employee, manager and HRBP inquiries/requests regarding HR policies, procedures, programs and systems.
Answers pay-related questions from employees and managers, including payroll deductions, withholding, stop and reissue payment processes, direct deposit, pay slip requests, etc. Researches and resolves less complex pay issues and discrepancies.
Assists employees and managers with routine questions regarding training classes assigned to them. Escalates more complex matters to the SBU contact and/or the Talent & Learning department. Answers basic questions related to tuition reimbursement and insurance designation programs.
Provides support to employees and managers on the use of HR systems including Time Management, MCDC, manager and employee self-service, etc.
Participates in HR systems user testing and in administering employee record changes, as appropriate.
Escalates inquiries/requests of a more complex nature, to HR case management, specialist staff located within the HR functional areas, or other subject matter experts (e.g., HRBPs).
Processes employee Worker’s Compensation claims by gathering appropriate injury information, submitted the claim to the appropriate case manager, and notifying the related contacts.
Supports continuous improvement principles by actively participating in tier huddles and process walks, identifying issues/potential solutions, participating in root cause problem solving sessions, and recommending improvements to Standard Work guides and other process tools/templates.
Performs additional duties, to include project-related work, as assigned.
Has the ability to maintain confidential information.

Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience required, in addition to at least 1 year of customer service-oriented work experience. Prior experience working within a Human Resources environment preferred. Must demonstrate high attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and solid written and verbal communication skills. Requires the ability to exercise judgment in prioritizing work, responding to customer needs, and in determining when an inquiry/request requires higher-level involvement. Displays strong research skills, with the ability to efficiently and effectively locate relevant information among various sources. Ability to recognize and raise opportunities for improvement. Works well within a team environment, partnering with other members to meet customer needs. Has the ability to easily learn and maneuver around core systems.
