HEALTH CLINIC BUSINESS ANALYST
Job Description
The Health Clinic Analyst provides revenue cycle and analytic expertise and support to business operations of Wake County Human Services. This role involves working with Health Clinics leadership, finance staff and the Quality Improvement (QI) team, to extract, structure, collect, compile, analyze, compare, and report on financial outcomes.The goal of this position is to provide support to financial and quality management through effective reporting, monitoring and evaluating of data. Conduct analysis and provide reports to support by Quality Improvement team and other ad hoc reporting as requested. Actively supports and participates in department emergency preparedness and response activities, which may include temporary changes in responsibilities and working hours. The influenza immunization is a condition of initial and continued employment, subject to compliance with federal law.
Functions of Position:
Collect, gather, and report data for Health Clinics and program operations.
In conjunction with finance, and IT, development of reports to support the operations of Wake County Human Services clinics.
Gather data from current systems and outside sources; create reports, conduct audits (PM and EMR) to inform Human Services Leadership Team, and all staff members.
Translate large data reports to condensed, effective, targeted reports with key elements displayed in a meaningful format.
Create and maintain dashboards, including operations to be presented at all levels of staff at periodic intervals as directed or requested
Produce ad-hoc queries & reports based on business needs
Review data collected from staff to verify that data is valid and complete
Work with Leadership Team to establish ongoing data reports for practices around cost, quality and utilization for their patient population
Consult regularly with WCHS clinic leadership and finance reps to identify future data collection needs
Development of reports for operations grant projects and business plans/justifications
Understand best performance measures for carrying out program evaluation and for measuring efficiency and effectiveness of programs
Will have involvement with quality measure reporting (e.g. AMH) Advanced Medical Home reporting
Focus on increasing staff capacity to understand, interpret and present data
Analyze, interpret, and communicate data to all levels of the organization
Provide high-level analytical support and local expertise to track data, identify trends, and investigate outliers
Work with WCHS leadership to develop and implement a process for dissecting data at all levels (regional, county, practice) to include PDSA and other rapid-cycle quality improvement efforts to increase performance metrics
Consistently operate in accordance with HIPAA
