STAT Informatic Solutions is a leader in outsource imaging services with over 70 contracted facilities nationwide. We specialize in imaging documents created from ancillary and disparate systems to various Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Document Courier is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the pick-up and drop-off of medical charts during their assigned courier routes. Document Couriers are also responsible from the beginning to the end of their assigned routes to ensure all established policies and procedures are followed. In addition, Document Couriers quickly communicate all issues that impact the quality or timely completion of the process to the Document Courier Supervisor and Record Center/Fleet Manager.

Essential Functions:
? Check and receive in medical charts using daily discharge summary list.
? Prepare Patient Medical Charts for scanning based on guidelines established by HIM's director in timely manner (if applicable to this position).
? Responsible for scanning medical charts using a scanner making sure charts count balances per batch cover sheet (if applicable to this position).
? Verify and index batches of medical record charts into the computer and required software to release charts into work production queue (if applicable to this position).
? Adhere to extremely strict HIPAA and confidentiality policies at all times.
? Display effective and professional communication with internal and external customers.
? Meet safely and timely pick-up and drop-off routes from office to facility and facility to office as needed.
? Adhere to all policies, guidelines, programs, and procedures in the employee handbook.
? Participate in periodic team meetings as necessary.
? Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Document Couriers must be able to communicate (both written and oral) clearly, proactively and concisely with all key stakeholders, manage their time by organizing and completing work within given deadlines, and make critical decisions while following company policies, guidelines, and procedures. Document Couriers must also be able to adapt to change in environment and/or circumstances with a positive outlook and adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, and/or cultures. Must independently take prompt proactive steps towards problem resolution and able to pay attention to details in order to perform work accurately and thoroughly. In addition, Document Couriers must have the ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations. ADDITIONAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Must have either a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with a minimum of 6 months to 1-year related experience. Some college preferred, but not required. Must have general knowledge of computers, scanners, and office equipment. Thorough knowledge of federal and state information regulations and medical record keeping requirements. Must be able to pass pre-employment screening and driving history background based on Hospital and Company guidelines and policies.
