Job Description

The Director is responsible for strategic planning efforts and leads structured innovation hub to enhance CGSO capabilities, develop market competitiveness, and enable adaptive operations, Serve as the CGSO strategic planning lead, providing business expertise and future-focused thinking to generate a cohesive and market-relevant strategic roadmap for the business. Direct structured innovation with enterprise to enhance short-and long-term operational performance and evolve core functionality.
Lead development of CGSO business unit strategic vision including five-year strategic plan
Perform competitive intelligence and market research to guide and validate strategic assessments of CGSO capabilities
Establish enterprise-aligned innovation hub to lead new, market-backed initiatives to support development of CGSO capabilities
Develop departmental roadmap that aligns CGSO business strategy with enterprise strategy
Maintain strategic alignment with key stakeholders and promote execution of strategic initiatives to fulfill vision
Cultivate, research, and accelerate the adoption of innovative processes and new solutions across CGSO
Host strategic work sessions with key stakeholders to gather insights and perspectives to incorporate into strategic initiatives
Execute a data-driven approach to strategic planning with vetted value cases for each initiative and objective
Tailor business unit strategy to market and regulatory conditions through deep understanding of payer market environment
Promote value-based prioritization of strategic initiatives that incorporates urgency of business need
Hiring Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
10 years of experience in strategic planning, initiative management, and/or healthcare innovation managing multifunctional operational area
In lieu of degree, 12 years of experience as stated above
5 years of progressive leadership experience
Hiring Preferences

Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
Solid project management skills with ability to multitask and manager small to large projects
Excellent PC skills (e.g. MS Word, Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of health care industry and principles of managed care
Experience working in health insurance or health care environment
Developed and implemented new work processes or improvements
Demonstrated experience working with senior leadership
Strategic thinker with consultative problem-solving approach
High market awareness and skilled in identifying differentiation opportunities in a competitive environment
Strong quantitative analytical skills with proven experience identifying and capturing value from strategic initiatives
Demonstrated competency in project management and the execution of multiple large projects
Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems
Demonstrated organizational change management
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as ability to present and explain information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding
Excellent influencing, negotiating, and consultative skills to achieve a desired course of action consistent with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives
Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and resolve issues and opportunities
The ability to determine the information necessary to strategically assess market situations as well as the ability to evaluate and determine optimal plans of action is essential
