Job Title: Full Time Dump Truck Driver (CDL not Required)
Reports To: Assistant Manager/Manager
Big Earth Landscape Supply in Sarasota, Florida, is looking for a motivated and experienced full time dump truck driver. Candidate has the opportunity for immediate hire, if qualifications, screenings and evaluations permit. Drug test and a clean driving record is required. Summary: Loads and unloads materials from order form and delivers to their destination on order form by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operates forklift, front-end loader and pallet jack
- Performs pre-trip inspections
- Drives flatbed or dump truck
- Ensures knowledge of stocked materials
- Maintains interior and exterior of truck and forklift
- Ensures exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Reads road maps
- Utilizes GPS and cell phone to navigate quickly and better serve customers
- Promotes products when appropriate
- Obeys traffic devices and traffic laws
- Handles cash according to company guidelines
- Follows trip sheets
- Assists Yard Personnel as needed, with loading and unloading trucks, keeping yard, store and warehouse organized
- Notifies management of issues with truck
- Works ten or more hours in one shift as needed
Education/Experience:
High school education; or one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general information, such as delivery tickets, addresses or customer instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts pertaining to job requirements.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and develop a conclusion based on information presented. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of GPS or mapping programs.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Driver's License
CDL Class A a plus, but not required

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
