Job Description
This position is responsible for developing, maintaining and updating an effective corporate compliance program, whereby employees are well informed of Company expectations around ethics and compliance.Essential Job Functions:
- Administration of the Code of Ethical Business Conduct, Corporate Policies, and the external hotline reporting system.
- Development and implementation of compliance and ethics training for company employees.
- Furthers compliance in the Company through awareness training and events.
- Coordinates, monitors and advances compliance through effective corporate compliance program.
- Develops and reports appropriate program metrics to senior management.
- Identifies areas of concern and examines options for resolution.
- Performs special projects and investigations as needed.
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, engineering, finance or related field and five years of relevant experience is required. Relevant experience includes compliance, risk and controls, project management, handling investigations, and analytical/problem solving. The preferred candidate will have an MBA with CIA, CPA, or other related certification.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Must be able to build relationships and effectively use oral and written communication skills while dealing with personnel throughout all levels of the company. Must have advanced interpersonal skills to handle complex people relationships and maintain neutrality and confidentiality. Must be able to work effectively with others in a team environment. Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills including being organized, self-motivated, dependable, perceptive, decisive, objective, tactful, assertive and persuasive. Must possess the ability to present a professional image to obtain the confidence, trust and cooperation of the customer.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements, industry and corporate responses to those requirements as well as audit and compliance practices to ensure the implementation of an effective compliance program.
- Ability to evaluate and assess compliance position in response to regulatory requirements as well as controls within the Company.
- Must be able to review complex applications and evaluate the related controls. Must be able to analyze effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and formulate opinions and develop recommendations. Must be able to apply analytical thinking, creative problem solving and sound reasoning. Must have the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at the same time. Must have high ethical standards and the ability to remain independent.
- Working knowledge of Windows, word processing, databases and spreadsheets is preferred.
Valid driver's license required.
Working Conditions:
Normal office working conditions. Some travel to other locations may be required. Must have a satisfactory work record including good attendance.
