Job Summary:
Assists with basic patient care activities.

Responsibilities:
Assists with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
Assists patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Assists with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
Performs activities of Monitor Tech or Health Unit Clerk.

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1.5 Months (45 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

One or more of the following:
Certified Nurse Aide credentialed from the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. In lieu of CNA registry, successful completion of an accredited nursing program prior to hire or job transfer date will be accepted.

Education:
None Required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Work Experience:
Previous CNA experience preferred. For Resource Pool & PRN Pool Departments only: One year of acute care experience is required.
