Billing Specialist/Coder- Easton, Pa - Intermountain Medical Group

Job Description

Responsible for the review of medical charges and patient information received including, but not limited to, ICD-10 and Procedural documentation to support accurate and efficient billing. Knowledge of insurance explanation of benefits including familiarity with contractual obligation adjustments and denials. Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish all tasks assigned accurately. Must be detailed oriented and possess the skills of multi-tasking daily to accomplish assigned goals. Excellent communication skills. Responsible for handling incoming patient calls in reference to outstanding patient balances, charges billed and other aspects of a patient’s account. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a Department Lead, Supervisor or Manager.

Computer skills necessary. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT billing. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the Medical Billing/Medical Office environment.
Qualifications

Requires an associates degree in area of specialty and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
