Family Preservation Services of VA is seeking an experienced Counselor to join our Behavioral Treatment Team. We provide intensive therapies based on Applied Behavioral Analysis and work in the home and community with our clients. We work with individuals diagnosed with pervasive developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, or other adaptive functioning disorders.
Qualifications: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s Degree in a Human Services discipline (i.e. counseling; mental health; social work; marriage and family counseling; psychology; educational psychology; vocational counseling; sociology; psychiatric rehabilitation; child, family and community services; early childhood development; guidance and counseling; home economics – child and family services; human development; human service administration; school (education) psychology; human relations; counseling psychology; community counseling; cognitive science; clinical psychology; special education; child development; healthcare counseling; human services; human services counseling; human development; health psychology; social science; divinity/pastoral care/pastoral counseling; any other degree with a demonstrated concentration of study in psychology, social work, or mental health discipline) AND a minimum of one year of verified direct work/internship experience, acquired working with children/adolescents and families in a therapeutic treatment environment.
