People Systems Analyst

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a People Systems Analyst to join our People Operations team. The person in this role will work on process improvements by using HR system capabilities to increase automation and integration, reduce manual work, and improve data quality. In addition, they will design, configure, and maintain Workday business processes, working with the People Systems Lead for process improvements, workflow automation, and data integrity. The People Systems Analyst will also lead Workday configuration for the assigned functional areas and assist subject-matter experts in ensuring data integrity, testing system changes, and analyzing dataflows for process-improvement opportunities. They will support Workday updates, testing, and other technical projects.

Your impact

As a People Systems Analyst, you will be critical in providing Workday integrations expertise to up-leveling processes, systems, data management, and compliance. You will be a key team member in supporting Grammarly’s migration to a new HR system. And you will be part of the team that supports the global People, WXP, Finance, IT, and GRC teams in North America and Europe.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in a new HRIS migration to Workday, which involves collaborating on the migration plan for the People Operations Team and collaborating with the IT; Governance, Risk, and Compliance; Workplace Experience; Finance; Legal; and Security teams to ensure all critical processes are captured and will be migrated.
  • Analyze and document future state process designs.
  • Use your Workday expertise to achieve operational excellence for the People team and Grammarly.
  • Leverage a Workday-delivered dashboard or build custom to promote manager self-service and employee self-service and minimize dependency on PeopleOps tickets.
  • Identify areas for automation and implement processes that will require minimal manual work.

We’re looking for someone who

  • Is able to collaborate in person 2–4 weeks per quarter, traveling if necessary to the hub where the team is based.
  • Has expertise in building complex Workday Studio integrations.
  • Is proficient in XSLT, XML, and the use of Workday APIs.
  • Can analyze, implement, and improve Workday and identify opportunities for automation and self-service to reduce manual work for other functions.
  • Can identify opportunities for integrations to support security, compliance, and smooth dataflow.
  • Has at least 6 years of experience in Workday integration development in human capital management.
  • Is certified in or has a deep understanding of Workday Cloud Connect for Benefits, payroll interfaces, and BIRT reporting.
  • Has experience in configuring Workday security for the system accounts.
  • Has—as a plus—knowledge of Workday Extend.
  • Has advanced knowledge in developing Workday custom reports and calculated fields and dashboards.
  • Has experience in systems testing and production rollouts and can perform system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing, and implementation of Workday updates.
  • Has experience designing processes, workflows, and data management to meet compliance requirements.
  • Can engineer, design, build, test, and maintain Workday integrations with our partner and vendor systems.
