Senior Software Engineer, Frontend Platform

Our Foundation team is responsible for the underlying architecture of Postman web & desktop clients, and builds and owns SDKs, tools, services & infrastructure that help our product teams build great user experiences and interfaces.

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our team. You’ll work closely with engineering leaders and our product teams to achieve our mission of creating the next 100M developers in the world.

The team is spread across India and Europe and we’re open to considering candidates in either location(s).

What You’ll Do.

• Work with Postman engineers from across product teams to identify pain points in building and delivering web applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust libraries/abstractions to support internal product teams.
• Perform code reviews and play a part in improving the overall maturity of the platform.
• Identify emerging technologies and patterns that simplify building and maintaining large Single Page web applications.
• Advocate for best practices that improve reliability, security, performance, or quality.
• Mentor early-career and experienced engineers to bring out the best in them and help them succeed at Postman.

About you.

• 4 years + hands on frontend focused software engineering experience.
• Proven experience of working in a frontend platform team that has enabled internal engineering communities.
• Deep understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the web platform.
• Experience building large single-page applications with millions of users worldwide, and hundreds of contributors with fast release cycles.
• Experience designing great APIs/libraries that are well designed, tested, and documented
• Experience collaborating across engineering teams
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience and Excitement towards working with global, distributed teams
